Sonali Chatterji, a chef by passion, culinary expert of Bengali and Continental cuisines. A curator, innovator, and custodian of authentic Bengali cuisine from aristocratic lineages, homes, and streets of Bengal. With many awards and accolades from the culinary world, she has been serving clients from across the globe for the last seven years. Her expertise has been put to use by leading five star hotels in celebrating Food festivals and banquets.

Professionally an Interior designer for 30 years, took her passion for cooking and made this a profession seven years back, and there has been no looking back since then.

Just have to mention the superb food Chef Sonali Chatterji makes we ordered the non veg combo and must say it deserves a 10/10 in terms of taste, freshness, packaging and value for money The starters... deviled eggs... half a boiled egg inside a chicken patty fried fish, fish chop and mutton chop were all so delicious and authentic!! The main course of cholar daal, bhetki paturi, kosha mangsho, basanti pulao and luchis (Bengali puris.... you just have to try them with the kosha mangsho) were just as heavenly... this is where you wish you could just devour it all or call your besties to share !!!!!

And just when you feel you've had the best meal in a long time and yes you've probably over eaten because you didn't call your bestie over. There is dessert.... Kheer er puli The most tender and creamy rasgulla in a delicate rabri.... a piece of heaven

Ordered for the first time from Sonali Chatterji of Panch Phoran! Ordered the Non Veg Pujo special platter and it was absolutely awesome! Each dish was authentic and delicious - the platter had Cholar Dal, Bhetki Paturi, 4 assorted non veg chops, kosha Mangsho, Bosonti Pulao, Luchi, tomato chutney, kasundi and a sweet dish all this for 1500/-.

The platter was to be for two but three of us ate (over ate) and there's still some food left for tomorrow! Food came on time and beautifully packed! This was the first time I ordered from Sonali but surely not the last.... Thoroughly enjoyed the meal!! Thank you Sonali! Yet to make the payment as she has to share the mode of payment!

Social media has been flooded with posts and fliers with details of home chefs and their menus. Sonali Chateerji, a home chef living in Sector 62, has been delivering food to Covid patients and their families around Gurgaon and Delhi. "I posted on Facebook two days ago and have been getting multiple calls since then. There are families where everyone is infected with the virus and they need help with food," she said.

Another Gurugram-based home chef Sonali Chatterji does about 100 meals per week and endeavours to serve good quality, value-for-money food. "In such deliveries, don't make profits. And it's okay. I'm sending food all the way to Ghaziabad, twice a week. There are people who want dal, roti, sabzi, and some want continental non-spicy food, high on protein... I avoid making it too olly or spicy," she shares.

Home chef Sonali Chatterji says she is cooking more than 100 meals a day in the northern state of Haryana's Gurugram city, a satellite city of New Delhi, like Noida.

She says she starts her day at 5:30am to cook and package orders with the help of her family. "I can cook more but there are a limited number of delivery people to transport the orders."
